These Guidelines set behavioural and operating standards for everyone on Otlo—individual Users and members, Community operators, Event hosts, and Brand admins—so the platform stays safe, lawful, and compliant.
Otlo connects Users through profiles, networks, Communities, Events, and Brands. These Guidelines protect that trust for every person on the platform.
Otlo enforces these Guidelines consistently with applicable legal and regulatory expectations for online platforms, including rules on illegal content, User safety, and personal-data protection.
As a User, present yourself honestly. Do not impersonate another person, create fake profiles, or use Otlo to stalk, harass, or coerce anyone.
Respect other Users’ privacy and dignity in profiles, chats, applications, invites, and event interactions. Do not share private messages, phone numbers, or personal documents without a lawful basis and clear expectation.
Use connections, invites, and notifications responsibly. Do not spam Users with unwanted requests or scrape contact details.
Keep your account under your control. Selling, renting, or transferring a User account outside Otlo’s product flows is not allowed.
Otlo’s User-compliance expectation is that every individual follows these Guidelines as a condition of access, alongside Terms and Privacy acceptance recorded for the account.
Be respectful. Do not harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against other Users.
Be truthful in profiles, Community descriptions, Event listings, and Brand pages. Do not impersonate people or organisations.
Do not post illegal content, sexual content involving minors, scams, malware, or content that incites violence.
Respect privacy. Do not share others’ personal data without a lawful basis and their informed expectation.
Set clear joining criteria and membership expectations. Disclose how application answers from Users will be used before people apply.
Moderate fairly. Use bans, removals, and role grants for legitimate Community governance—not for abuse of power over Users.
Keep Community policies aligned with Otlo Terms and Privacy. You may add stricter house rules, but you may not override Otlo’s safety or legal requirements that protect Users.
Protect member lists and form data. Do not sell User membership data or use it for unrelated spam.
Publish accurate time, place, capacity, and access rules. Cancel or update promptly when plans change.
Use registration questions only for running the Event. Secure guest lists of attending Users and do not publish private attendee details without permission.
Keep Event chat and feedback civil. Remove harassment and illegal material quickly using host tools.
Do not use Events to run unlawful activities, unsafe gatherings, or deceptive ticket schemes targeting Users.
Represent your organisation honestly. Do not create Brand pages that mislead customers or imitate another business.
Commercial messaging to Users must comply with advertising and consumer-protection rules applicable to your market.
If your Brand operates Communities or Events, apply the same privacy and safety standards required of Community and Event operators for User data.
Users may report violations through Otlo support or available in-product reporting paths. Otlo may investigate, request information, restrict features, remove content, or suspend User accounts.
Otlo cooperates with lawful requests from competent authorities as required, while protecting User rights under applicable law.
Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent removal of a User from Otlo.
Otlo maintains these Guidelines, Terms, and Privacy Policy so the platform remains fully compliant with the rules and compliance frameworks of relevant legal bodies governing digital services, personal data, consumer protection, and online safety—covering individual Users as well as Communities, Events, and Brands in Otlo’s operating jurisdictions.
Feature-level consents, User account controls, role permissions, and audit-friendly records (such as legal acceptance and join acknowledgements) support that compliance posture for every person using Otlo.
